Walls are cleaned, any cracks or damage repaired, and a base coat applied. The quality of prep determines the quality of the final finish.
2–3 coats of Venetian plaster applied by hand with steel trowels. Each coat worked while still fresh to develop texture and tonal variation unique to the wall.
Final coat burnished with a smooth steel trowel to bring up the characteristic sheen. Wax or sealer applied for protection and depth. Wall is complete.
